After a tough 2014, The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is optimistic for strong tourism numbers in 2015, following last week’s release of the MasterCard Global Destinations Cities Index, in which Bangkok was placed second.
TAT’s latest campaign, launched earlier this year, may also play a role in these strong numbers. “Discover Thainess” aims to emphasise the priceless treasures of this magical country: the people, the culture and society.
In a part of the world renowned as a holiday mecca thanks, in part, to its natural beauty, beaches and great weather, it’s the “Thainess” that helps the kingdom stand apart from its neighbours: the unique lifestyle, fascinating culture, one of the tastiest cuisines in the world and, of course, the people – there’s a reason Thailand is known as the Land of Smiles.
