Circular Quay a must-see during Vivid Sydney

In Travel News by The H4C Team

For an unforgettable weekend away, make your way to Sydney… like, now. Running until June 16, Vivid Sydney has taken over the New South Wales capital, transforming the city into a technicolour wonderland. One of the best spots to experience it all, Circular Quay is hosting a range of amazing displays – from nostalgic light shows to Sydney’s most powerful laser beam.

A definite highlight of the event, couples can choreograph their own light show on Sydney Harbour. Thanks to the technological wizardry of Skylark (below), you can orchestrate an array of laser beams positioned around Circular Quay from a lookout at Pier 8. You’ll also score a great vantage point for viewing Bradfield’s Beacon, the most powerful laser beam ever seen on Sydney Harbour.

There are also wonders for your inner-child, with the Snugglepot and Cuddlepie 100th anniversary light display on at Customs House (feature image). Joined by some of the children’s tale’s most beloved characters, the two Australian icons go on an adventure across the building’s facade in an impressive animation featuring 15,000 hand-drawn frames. Art-lovers will also love the Virtual Vibration installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art, which turns into a giant 3D artwork after dark.
