Bastille Day (and all the delicious, rich food that involves) is on its way, but you don’t have to travel to France to enjoy the festivities. Taking over iconic Circular Quay and The Rocks, Bastille Festival Sydney (July 12-15) is returning in 2018 to offer Australians a big, cheesy slice of French culture.
Set to feature over 100 enticing food stalls (yes, that means plenty of freshly made raclette and crepes), the four-day event is sure to be a hit with foodies. Wine connoisseurs will also love the range of top French wines that will be served, while culture vultures will be impressed by a programme jam-packed with French-inspired entertainment.
Mixing French culture with a touch of the Australian lifestyle, Bastille Festival Sydney will also feature an Electro Beer Garden in East Circular Quay. The laid-back outdoor bar will be theplace to enjoy premium craft beer and electro-swing beats. Another much-anticipated element will be Le Cinema, an outdoor cinema that invites couples to cuddle up, watch a film and enjoy a glass of mulled wine. Yes please!
