Brisbane Festival unveils impressive 2019 lineup

In Travel News by The H4C Team

It’s nearly that time of year again (and we’re super excited!), with Brisbane Festival announcing its impressive full programme. Promising something for everyone, the event’s 2019 lineup will include everything from live music and circus-inspired cabaret to art exhibitions and comedy. Get ready, people.

Running September 5-28, the entertainment-packed festival makes a Queensland short stay a tempting idea. Brisbane Festival 2019 highlights include performances from 2019 Eurovision contestant Kate Miller Heidke, City and Colour and The Amity Afflication. There’ll also be comedy from names like Sam Simmons, Anne Edmonds and Cal Wilson, plus a special ’90s-inspired house music party and a screening of ‘No Country for Old Men’ with a live musical accompaniment.

Always loved by attendees, the annual Sunsuper Riverfire will see the Brisbane River illuminate in an extraordinary fireworks display. Haven’t yet had your fill of fun? There’s the Riverstage Birthday Bash to check out (with performances from Hot Dub Time Machine) and an otherworldly ‘Fire Gardens’ immersive exhibition. Sign. Us. Up.
