It’s hard to imagine a train journey on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express being any more glamorous, but new additions by its luxury operator Belmond are set to make travelling on this icon of the rails an even more sumptuous experience.

Launching March 2018, three new private ‘Grand Suites’ will offer another level of luxury to the historic train, each featuring private bathrooms with showers, double beds and a living area. Named after the romantic cities through which the train travels (Paris, Venice and Istanbul), the cabins will reflect the spirit of each city while showcasing Belmond’s signature 1920s Art Deco design.
