Kintamani

Michael Travers, marketing and communications manager at SeaTrek Sailing Adventures, has lived in Bali for 10 years. “Kintamani in northeast Bali is the collective name given to the area surrounding Gunung Batur volcano and Lake Batur, which both sit within a massive ancient caldera. This iconic view from the rim of the caldera has to be one of the most photogenic sights in Bali. The volcano is still active so you can often see steam puffing out of vents near the summit. I love drinking locally grown Kintamani coffee on the open verandah of one of the many restaurants overlooking this spectacular vista. The view is best captured in the misty early mornings before the place gets too busy.”
