Australia’s newest Art Hotel arrives in Perth: The Adnate

A record-breaking ‘mega mural’ sets the scene at Australia’s newest Art Series Hotel, The Adnate. Named for street artist Matt Adnate, who has created a powerful talking point with his 25-storey mural, the hotel sits next to Perth’s buzzing, sophisticated King St precinct. The artist took a month to spray paint the exterior’s multicultural portraits, eventually revealing the tallest mural in the Southern Hemisphere. “I see this hotel as a beautiful canvas to tell a story about Perth’s cultural and community connection through portraiture and traditional elements,” he says. Inside, the 250 rooms are decorated with colourful Adnate prints while the lobby and adjacent laneway are adorned with original works. It’s the first in the Art Series stable to celebrate a street artist. Look out for the mid-October opening of HYDE Perth Kitchen + Cocktails, bringing the international HYDE brand poolside to The Adnate with a swanky restaurant and bar. Just one more reason to go west!
