Club Med Bintan Island

Wellness retreats are an increasingly popular travel trend, be it for a weekend getaway or overseas escape.

It's the perfect opportunity to take time out, gain perspective, and do something good for yourself and your body, while at the same time reconnecting as a couple.

According to Club Med, 88% of Australians feel the need to head on holidays to get out of our everyday routine. For the health-conscious holiday-goers and those who want to return home with a spring in their step, their third annual wellness retreat at Club Med Bintan Island may be the ideal romantic getaway.

Held from 20 May to 12 June 2016, the programs take place over four-day periods and are designed to boost fitness and wellbeing through a series of activities run by international experts.

An interesting feature of this particular retreat is that each day has a different colour and health focus. Day one is yellow and focuses on rejuvenation, day two is red focusing on energy, day three is green focusing on balance and day four is purple, focusing on revitalisation.

Couples can purchase an all-inclusive package with food and drinks which are themed to match the colour scheme of the day, as well as including accommodation, entertainment and leisure activities. Spa Treatment packages are also available for ultimate relaxation.
