We can’t wait for the 1 November unveiling of Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa, Mauritius, following an extensive six-month renovation.
Located on the east coast of Mauritius in one of the island’s most spectacular bays, Trou d’Eau Douce, the five-star resort will still feature all the cool stuff it’s famous for: Indian Ocean views from all 200 guestrooms, suites and villas; two pools; white-sand beaches plus access to Ilot Mangénie, a secluded private island reserved exclusively for guests that features 3.5 kilometres of beach, a stylish beach club and on-island butlers; and access to the 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course designed by Bernhard Langer that’s located a few minutes away by boat on Ile aux Cerfs.
But it’s all the changes we’re eager to check out. The renovation will encompass all guestrooms and public areas, and also bring Shangri-La’s well-known spa and restaurant concepts to Mauritius. There will be five new dining and bar concepts, including Republik Beach Club & Grill, which will feature Mediterranean cuisine and barbecue specialties, and Sega – a rum and Tiki bar.
