Here at Holidays For Couples it's no secret that we love romantic accommodation in Thailand, especially resorts as luxurious as the Pimalai. However, what really has us sold is the fact that their hotels also have a strong focus on contributing to their local communities and environment.

The Pimalai Koh Lanta is currently leading the way in conservation of the endangered clownfish (Nemo!) in partnership with the Thai Fishery Department. This initiative is all in the hope of creating Koh Haa Island across from the Pimalai into a fish sanctuary.

The 11th clownfish release took place on March 21, with scores of volunteer divers gathering to assist with the project.

The Pimalai is a veritable ocean paradise with many activities available for guests focused on the surrounding waters. Couples can enjoy kayaking tours and mangrove exploration expeditions, snorkelling and swimming in emerald caves and sunset cruises.
