A trip to Hong Kong is not complete without a day spent visiting a classic Chinese monastery. The Po Lin Monastery is a must-see for its stunning Tian Tan Buddah statue towering at a huge 34 metres high. Immerse yourselves in the Chinese culture and heritage by wandering this iconic monument and enjoying the mountain and sea views that surround it. You can then enjoy a nice stroll with your partner through the Po Lin Monastery gardens, which is alive with birdsong and delightful floral scents to set the romance!

One thing that Hong Kong is renowned for is it's Oriental knick knacks! Peruse the Stanley Market on the south coast with your partner to pick up some beautiful souvenirs from your trip. Abundant with ornaments, souvenirs and even branded clothing items, you are bound to walk away with much more than will fit into your suitcase! Stanley Market attracts not only tourists but it is also a big hit with the locals. One way to ensure you never forget your dreamy honeymoon together, is to bring it home with you!

Hong Kong Disneyland

Now one of our absolute favourites… Disneyland. What is a better way to celebrate your new lives together than at the most magical place on Earth! Have some fun and recuperate from the wedding stresses by having the time of your life on some of the best thrill rides. We recommend Space Mountain for a whole lot of thrills and laughter!

Of course you must make the most of the dazzling cityscape amongst you and spend one of your evenings at the Victoria Harbour for the Symphony of Lights. Named the 'World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show' by the Guinness World Records, this is one display you will not want to miss! Celebrating themes of awakening, energy, heritage, partnership and the final display of celebration, it is the perfect show for you and your partner to snuggle up to and celebrate the beginning of your new adventure of life together.

Last but definitely not least, is the food! We all love a delicious Asian dish, and Maxim's Palace is a visitor's favourite! This beautiful restaurant looks out over the Victoria Harbour and is a huge hit, laden with dim sums, dumplings and pork buns to share with your loved one. Visit a beautiful teahouse and share a pot of tea with your partner, for a bit of classic Chinese culture. The Lin Heung Lau is a divine teahouse to visit, complete with bird cages hanging from the ceiling and your selection of teas brought to you on a trolley.

Couples will love a luxurious stay at Harbour Grand Hong Kong, located right in the heart of the action on the waterfront. Stay in a Premier Harbour View Suite as they embrace panoramic views of Central and the Kowloon Peninsula across Hong Kong's world-renowned Victoria Harbour.

Hong Kong is full of adventure for you and your partner to enjoy on a romantic honeymoon, from light shows to festivals, malls to markets and temples to national parks, there is something for every couple. There is a reason it is named Asia's World City!
