Ayers Rock Resort has just announced their spectacular line-up of major events for 2015, sure to delight couples who want to experience the spiritual heart of Australia on a romantic holiday.

Discover the return of the Tjungu Festival in April, followed by the Uluru Camel Cup in May. In July, the Australian Outback Marathon will take place and in August stargazers are in for a treat – the Uluru Astrology weekend will take place.

Voyages CEO Andrew Williams says “the diverse program of events allows guests to explore one element in more depth – whether it be Indigenous culture, light-hearted outback fun at the Camel Cup, health and fitness or the wonders of the universe.” Clearly, this is no ordinary couples' holiday, but one that will reinvigorate the senses, seeing you grow together and on an individual level.

The Australian Outback Marathon

Australian Outback Marathon - Saturday 25 July

For health and fitness enthusiasts, or those couples who just want to give it a go, the Australian Outback Marathon is the destination marathon race, cementing its place as a major highlight on the Australian running calendar. Travelling Fit, the race organiser, have designed the event to be enjoyed by all levels of running abilities offering four different events - a full marathon, half marathon and two fun runs. Set amongst one of the most iconic backdrops in the world entrants from every continent will once again pound the red dirt with spectacular views of Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Most of the race course is plotted on unsealed roads, trails and bush tracks near the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park giving couples the opportunity to see relatively untouched lands.
