A Star is Born on the Gold Coast

In Travel News by The H4C Team

Set in seven manicured acres of gardens at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, Jupiters Hotel and Casino has been a magnet for interstate and international visitors since opening 30 years ago, so it’s timely that the property is currently undergoing an extensive $345 million refurbishment which will completely transform it by the time the Commonwealth Games roll into town in 2018.

Guest rooms are being upgraded using the finest finishes such as Turkish marble, cerused oak veneers and locally commissioned artwork.

The high-tech rooms on the Executive Floors have already been given a chic coastal facelift, utilising the colours of sea, sky and sand for luxurious interiors. They also boast integrated technology such as customised lighting, temperatures and drapery, multiple USB ports and high speed broadband internet. Staying in an Executive Room also gives access to a range of Executive Club privileges which includes access to a private lounge for all day snacks and evening canapés and drinks, valet parking, complimentary continental breakfast and express check-in.

All rooms will be looking gorgeous and fresh by the end of this year when the hotel/casino is rebranded as The Star, Gold Coast.

The public areas are also undergoing a massive change with two new restaurants opened in late 2015 – Cucina Vivo with its deliciously innovative Italian cuisine and charming interiors inspired by the island of Capri; and Kiyomi, possibly the best Japanese restaurant on the coast, overseen by multi-awarded Chef Chase Kojima.

Garden Kitchen & Bar

Garden Kitchen & Bar (which replaced the dark and gloomy Prince Albert Bar) was opened with much fanfare early this year and has a bright, light, modern feel that invites couples to linger over coffee and croissants, a light lunch with a glass of bubbles or a romantic dinner seated outdoors behind one of the tropical plantings that make up the surrounding landscaped gardens.

When you’re looking for innovative dining options on the Gold Coast you won’t be disappointed at any of these fab spots – and there’s more to come!

There’s also a new, luxurious six-star, all-suite tower currently under construction which will give The Star Gold Coast a global edge with international visitors looking for the ultimate in luxury accommodation. The Glitter Strip’s new star is shining brightly!
