Best time to go
Generally speaking, there is always somewhere to go in Thailand. Weather patterns vary from east to west and even at times north to south. If beaches are what you are looking for, there will always be an option, with Hua Hin, Cha Am and Pranburi experiencing decent weather most of the year (outside of September and Octobe). November to June is a great time to visit the Andaman Sea and areas such as Phuket, Krabi and Koh Lanta. December to August sees the Gulf of Thailand - Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao - enjoying fine weather. However, even in rainy season, most areas only experience an hour or two of rain a day. Although there is always the risk of experiencing more intense weather, low season does often bring benefits such as more competitive pricing from hotels and less tourists.
