3. See Bengal tigers in India

The tiger is one of the most magnificent animals on the planet – and also one of the most endangered. Spot one in the wild and you’ll be able to place a seriously big cross on your wild animal bingo card. The Bandhavgarh National Park in Madhya Pradesh has the highest density of tigers in India – if you’re going to spot a Bengal tiger in the wild anywhere, it will probably be here. It’s also home to 22 other animals, including leopards, jungle cats and striped hyenas, and more than 150 species of birds. The best bit? You can take a tiger tour on the back of an elephant.
