Tasmania is known for its cool, temperate climate. Summer is from December to February, with an average temperature of 21°C (70°F). Autumn is from March to May during which weather patterns are extremely changeable as it transitions from summer to winter. Winter is from June to July with an average temperature of 12°C (52° F). These months are generally the coolest and the wettest months in the region. Spring lasts from August to November, during which the state experiences unpredictable weather, as the patterns change from winter to summer.
