A brand new tour has just arrived in Tasmania: The Bruny Island Gourmet Hike & Bike. Best suited to active and discerning travellers with a taste for all things food and wine related, the tour has been designed to perfectly balance rugged adventures with gourmet experiences.

This five day Tasmanian Expeditions tour starts off in Hobart where your group of 12 (max!) will meet before taking a ferry to Bruny Island. Once there, experience a series of nature walks, wildlife cruises and cycling tours which will show off the sheer majesty of the untouched landscape.

After a feast for the eyes, a trip to the Oyster Bar will whet the appetite before indulging in cheese and chocolate samplings and some whiskey, cider and wine tasting.

Highlights of the tour include the Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Cave, Hartz Mountains National Park, Cockle Creek and South Cape Bay.

PRICE: $2,495 per person

INCLUDES: Four nights' cabin style accommodation, daily breakfasts, five lunches, two dinners, all internal transfers, bike hire, wet weather gear and experienced guides. For more information, visit the Tasmanian Expeditions website.
