A brolga at Kakadu National Park

Most people travel to Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory to experience its waterfalls, wetlands and indigenous culture. With Kakadu Tourism you can experience it all as they have just launched an exciting new range of programmes for their peak season in 2015, aimed at providing visitors with a unique perspective of this World Heritage Site through the eyes of the local Indigenous guides.

As an Indigenous-owned business, Kakadu Tourism will be able to give you an authentic insight into the region, as experienced by Indigenous peoples for tens of thousands of years. Their central base Cooinda, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, provides a range of accommodations to suit all budgets. It's also central to all main attractions including Nourlangie Rock Art Site, Jim Jim & Twin Falls, Yellow Water Cruises and Warradjan Cultural Centre.

Kakadu Fishing

Kakadu Tourism focuses on providing the opportunity to appreciate the landscapes spiritual and cultural dimensions. Couples can enjoy fishing cruises from April to October on the Yellow Water Billabong and have a taste of the legendary barramundi which is always on the menu. Take part in the Algohgarrng Experience; a 90 minute cruise beginning in May, hosted by an expert Indigenous guide who hosts the star gazing by providing a narrative based on generations old Dreamtime Stories.  Photographic Cruises are also available from April with legendary, inspiring outback photographer Paul Arnold, who will help you hone your photo skills at sunrise or sunset.

Just two and a half hours drive from Darwin, Kakadu Tourism offers such an incredible array of activities and tours to partake in to really gain insight and appreciation into this incredibly beautiful part of Australia.
