Located a stone’s throw from one of the city’s major railway stations, the Gare Montparnasse, everything you could want to see or do in Paris is easily accessible. The observation deck on the 56th floor of Montparnasse Tower offers the most spectacular 360 degree views of the ‘City of Love’. However, if you crave boutique shopping, loads of fabulous trendy shops abound in the streets near to the hotel, and a major shopping centre, Galleries Lafayette, is about five minutes walk away.
With hundreds of hotels scattered across Paris, the Aviatic is a little gem of a find in the trendy left bank suburb of St Germain. This boutique, family-run hotel can only be described as charming, and as a guest you feel like you are staying in a grand old home. Dating back to 1856, the original house was home to the Marquis de Maintenon. The hotel has recently been cleverly transformed and renovated into a comfortable refuge for guests wanting a haven to retire to, after busy days in the streets of wonderful Pari. All rooms have ensuites, wireless internet connection and a mini bar.
Dining & Leisure
The surrounding streets are laden with bustling bistros, bars and cafes but special mention must be made of the buffet petit-dejeuner served in the very Parisian breakfast room of the hotel. In this atmospheric room we were tempted every morning to indulge in fresh fruits, beautiful cheeses, melt-in-the-mouth croissants, and the odd naughty macaroon!
Guests can choose either a Prestige or Traditional room. All are tastefully decorated in swish Parisian left-bank style. Ours had a large, very comfortable bed, a handy table and chair, a daybed, flatscreen TV, and a cute window that opened onto the street.
Best Room For Two
Executive Room: The Executive room can accommodate unil three people by providing them each equal comfort. In this case it is composed of a double and a single bed or three single beds. You tell us your preference, we will take care of the rest. For a stay of one or two (double bed or two single beds), the Executive room, with its meridian, looks like a lounge room. A little more space ... as if you were home. The bathroom features chrome taps and enamel.
Couples Will Love
The sheer ambience of this hotel and the friendliness of the staff as well as the superb location. The Eiffel Tower for instance is within walking distance if you choose not to take the Metro and prefer to experience the fabulous street life of Paris. So romantic! Check out The Paris Pass - we purchased the two day one and found it to be fantastic! Saved heaps of money and fast tracked us through lots of queues at places like The Louvre!
